More Pictures

The first picture is of Peach Upside Down cake cooked in a dutch oven over the campfire. The second and third pictures are from a trail(six miles long) that my cousin and I hiked, and the fourth is from camp.

The Rest of the Vacation Pictures

Really pretty, isn't it. It was a very relaxing vacation. (Except for the part driving down the mountain in my little, well loaded car on the way home; having to deal with road construction, being late for the Lubbock July meeting...)

So peaceful.

July 8, 2007

At last, the promised vacation post! Or...er...well, at least part of it. This is an example of how much stuff can be crammed in my car and it still be drivable. Impressive, huh. Even more impressive? Someone rode with me up there! Yes, it was rather a cramped drive up there, but, by golly, it sure was fun! Trips are just more fun when you can only see two inches of your back glass in the rearview mirror.

Ahhhh...Vacation

Vacations are wonderful things, especially if they involve no cell phones! The Carson National Forest was as beautiful as I remembered and yes, my little red car WILL make it up and down a mountain, although somewhat slowly. Will post more pictures soon and provide more exciting (?) details of my trip.

Trying the picture thing.

My cousin Gracie in December

The Truth shall set you free.

During a wonderful sermon this snowy, yes, SNOWY, Easter morning, my pastor made the following comments concerning those who say they have the family tomb of Jesus.

The only way that they could really test the DNA of Jesus is to match it with the Fathers' DNA. I wonder how they intend to do that.

Well said Brother George!
( a very good thought )

He then finished the sermon by giving all the accounts in the Bible of people that saw Jesus after He rose a victor over death. Doesn't that just make you feel all warm inside to know that He is indeed risen and that no earthly grave is strong enough to hold our blessed Savior!!

Brrrrrrr

Somewhat chilly for Easter weekend.

Suprise!

I have officially joined the world of bloggers (miracles DO happen, aye they do)!

I will wait for a few momens for you to return from the vast state of shock that I just forced upon you.

Ready?

Okay.

As I was sitting here in my somewhat chilled living room ( I cannot at this time get my heater to obey my orders), I made the decision to start this newfangled chapter in my life. Most of my dearest friends are quite years ahead of me in this endevor, but I will attempt to catch up best I can.

Do post a comment.
